Lindex commits to the agreement on improving fire and building safety in Bangladesh

Lindex owner Stockmann Group has signed the agreement on fire and building safety "The Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh." The agreement aims to develop safe working conditions for textile industry workers in Bangladesh through, for example, unannounced building inspections and repair of factory buildings.

The agreement complements the Stockmann Group’s and Lindex long-term work to continuously improve fire safety in factories. The issue has been the focus for several years as part of the Stockmann Group’s sustainability work, for example through internal and external inspections of the factories used by the group.

Lindex does not own any factories, but this agreement is one way to contribute to improved working conditions for textile industry workers in Bangladesh.
