The Looks – Autumn 2011

We're looking forward to a great new season of fashion - warmly dressed, lots of layers, denims and a wide range of knitwear will be the hottest looks in Lindex's autumn collection.

Inspiration

All Lindex’s early autumn collections are clearly inspired by the 70s. This is reflected in a feminine, romantic, relaxed and at times bohemian and cool style, where patterns and fabrics are mixed and matched.

90s grunge is the inspiration for a collection that features long lengths and long silhouettes. Oversized garments will ideally be layered. Fine fabrics will be mixed with rougher, more rustic materials.

The Country Heritage collection takes its inspiration from another era: English country life in the 40s, fox hunts and afternoon tea. Tweed jackets, cableknit sweaters and argyle check cardigans are matched with long-length skirts and tie blouses to create the perfect look.

Colours

A range of shades to complement autumn’s own colours:
Red – all shades of red, everything from orange to bright red, brick, burgundy and fuchsia as an accent
Beige – different shades of beige, from dark grey beige/greige to light oat beige hues
Blue – navy blue, various shades of denim blue, mid-blue and light blue
Grey – from dark anthracite to light grey melange
As a base – black, winter white and white
Mustard yellow – here and there as an accent

Patterns

Checks galore – everything you can think of, from classical Scottish tartan to more discreet shadow checks and small checks inspired by men’s shirts
Flowers – from small and discreet to large and flamboyant in rich autumn colours
Jacquards – knitwear with patterns that take their inspiration from Norway, the Faeroes and Mexico

Models / Silhouettes

Knitwear – all kinds of designs, from oversized waist-length sweaters to long chunky knit polos and cardigans, long and short, tight fitting and loose.

Jeans – are still one of the absolute must-haves in your autumn wardrobe. The season’s designs are either flared at the bottom with a narrower silhouette at the top, straight leg or narrow leg jeans.

Shirts – inspired by the men’s version, checked, striped and plain.

Blouses – feminine with details such as lace inserts, embroidery and ties.

Maxi dresses – lovely long dresses, often patterned and highly flared.

Autumn accessories include knitted scarves, versatile snoods and belts and handbags, mainly in brown or cognac, suede and leather.
