– Franchising is a good way for us to reach out to fashion-conscious women on markets where we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to establish ourselves, says Göran Bille, Managing Director for Lindex.
The Lindex store will be located in the Smáralind shopping centre in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik and will open in November 2011. The new store has a floor area of just over 400 m2 and will be furnished according to Lindex’ latest store concept with a modern shopping environment. The store will offer inspiring fashion collections for ladies and children as well as offer a selection of lingerie.
– Icelanders have always shown a great deal of entrepreneurship and we at Lindex believe in the recovery of the Icelandic economy. We have managed to create a strong concept that has proved to be attractive to the fashion-conscious women in many countries and we now feel it is the time to offer the Icelandic market inspiring, affordable fashion. We have an exciting time ahead of us, and it is a great feeling to see how Lindex is growing, says Göran Bille.
Lóa Dagbjört Kristjánsdóttir and Albert Thor Magnusson are the Icelandic franchisees who after a year and a half in Sweden are moving home to Iceland and taking the Lindex brand with them to Reykjavik.
