Get the look – Spring 2012

With the light of spring comes new energy. The Lindex design team looks to the future optimistically and welcomes the new fashion season with enthusiasm. One of the key concepts is colour – fresh spring colours, pretty pastels, strong tints or sun bleached and washed hues.

Inspiration
When Scandinavia inspires and meets Japan you’ll get Scandasia. The Asia influence is seen in the flower patterns and kimono cuts on tops, these are matched in a new way with the classic five pocket jeans or with a more updated denim wardrobe. Layer on layer, playfulness within the proportions and lengths create an exciting look.

The 50s and 60s inspiration is seen in the colour – and material choices in a collection with a fresh, casual and preppy look with clear influences from the American east coast. Patterns such as dots, checks and stripes and a colour palette with a cool sun bleached feel enhance the American look further.

A lot of inspiration from the 60s, in a more city chic manner, is also seen in another part of the collections where the look is simple and clean with a feminine feel. The colour scheme is sparse with a lot of black and white in combinations with strong accent colours. The most important patterns are stripes and colour blocking.

More 60s vibes are seen in another collection with classical key signatures – simple with clean lines, minimalistic details, strong and striking colours and combinations. The silhouette is clean and graphical, stripes dominates the patterns.

Colours
The spring colours are expansive, sometimes the colours are clear and strong, and other times more sun bleached or washed out.

White – different shades of white, which often are used together, white on white but also this spring, fresh combinations with other colours.

Beige – from sandy to kahki and potato colours.

Blue – the whole range of indigo blue with a more or less washed out feeling; other blue hues such as marine, cobalt and light blue.

Green – from strong grassy green to light mint.

Red – from different hues of orange to the reddest red.

Black – in the base, often in graphical combinations with white.
