It is located in Dubai’s most recently opened shopping mall, the Mirdif City Center, comprising several hundred stores featuring many international fashion brands.
Lindex began to establish itself in the Middle East two years ago. Stores were opened in Saudi Arabia via franchise agreements. The new store in Dubai will be the 13th in the Middle East and the first in the United Arab Emirates.
– We are very proud of our new store, which offers customers in Dubai a modern and inspiring shopping experience. It’s really exciting for Lindex to be opening in Dubai, which is a global metropolis. There’s big interest in shopping there, and fashion awareness is high. We hope to entice women in Dubai to shop at Lindex, where they can find everything in the world of fashion, both for themselves and their children, says Johan Eyram Isacson, Franchise Manager at Lindex.
In total, Lindex expects to open another 30 stores in the Middle East over the next five years. The Lindex franchise partner Delta International Establishment is one of the Middle East’s major fashion players. It allows Lindex to open stores in a region where the group would not otherwise have been able to establish itself.
The new Lindex store was opened in one of Dubai’s newest and largest shopping malls, the Mirdiff City Center. The store has a floor area of 640 m2 and is furnished in line with the latest Lindex store concept. Customers in Dubai can look forward to the dazzlingly colourful spring fashion from Lindex. The store is replenished with new stock every week.
– The Middle East is an interesting region with strong purchasing power, and we are tremendously pleased to open our stores there. We see Dubai and the international shopping tourism that it attracts as an ideal place to show our inspiring fashion collections, says Johan Eyram Isacson.
Over a couple of years, Lindex has become an expansive and successful international fashion company. The group plans to enter additional markets during 2010 by opening shops in Bosnia- Herzegovina and Egypt. They will also be established via franchise agreements.
