Respect the planet

At Lindex, respect for the planet is an integral part of our business. We work to reduce our climate impact, use of natural resources and to limit our impact on ecosystems while transforming our business towards circular ways of working.

The importance of a circular economy

With a growing population and unsustainable consumption patterns, we use up more natural resources than our planet can handle. The fashion industry depends on and consumes a lot of natural resources. At Lindex, the circular transformation of our business is central to how we develop value, sales and growth. It is part of our ongoing work to reduce climate impact, reduce resource use and minimise negative impact on natural resources and ecosystems, and to further develop how our products are designed and offered.

Respect the planet – our three core aims

Climate

Accelerating energy efficiency and transition to renewable energy, to reduce our climate impact in line with science in our entire value chain. Here is a selection of our goals:

  • By the end of 2030, our goal is to reduce absolute CO₂e market-based emissions from energy and industrial sources by 42 per cent across scope 1 and 2 and 42 per cent across scope 3 against 2022 baseline.
  • By the end of 2030, our goal is to reduce land related FLAG (Forest, Land and Agriculture) emissions by 30.3 per cent.

Circularity

Transforming our business to create value and growth while decreasing our climate impact, minimising our use of natural resources and supporting more informed consumption choices. Here is a selection of our goals:

  • By the end of 2026, 100 per cent of Lindex's materials will be recycled or sustainably sourced. In 2024, 88 per cent of our materials are recycled or sustainably sourced.

Natural resources

Minimising our impact on ecosystems and biodiversity with a responsible and regenerative approach to natural resources. Here is a selection of our goals:

  • By 2030, 100 per cent of Lindex virgin cotton will come from farmers with whom we are collaborating directly in order to secure the transition to organic and regenerative agriculture.

We continuously develop our goals, ambitions and strategies. More information and an update on our progress can be found in our annual report.
