Lindex expands its secondhand offer to Tradera

Lindex takes further steps with its secondhand offer and now explores Tradera as a marketplace for its baby and kidswear secondhand. The initiative is one of several pilots that the fashion company has recently undertaken as part of its transformation to a more sustainable and circular business model.

‘Our collaboration with Tradera is not only a great way for us to explore new channels and ways to meet new customers but also an opportunity to further prolong the lifetime of our garments. To inspire and encourage reuse is important to us and the collaboration will give us further valuable insights into how we can prolong the lifetime of our appreciated garments”, says Caroline Öhgren, Director of Sales at Lindex.

During fall, selected garments from previous appreciated collections will be auctioned on Tradera where each item has been carefully chosen and quality checked.

‘A higher degree of recycling in the fashion industry is crucial for us to be able to reach the UN’s ambitious climate goals. We think it is very positive that Lindex, one of Sweden’s largest fashion companies, invests in circularity and encourages its customers to make use of what already exists’, says Stefan Öberg, CEO at Tradera.

Exploring circular business models is an important part of Lindex’s circular transformation and sustainability promise – to make a difference for future generations. One of the fashion company’s goals is that the entire assortment will be designed for longevity and/or circularity by 2025.
