I am proud of Lindex important partnership with WaterAid, and I’m grateful that we, along with the help of our customers, can contribute to their important work towards improving access to safe water in the world’s poorest communities, says Ingvar Larsson, CEO at Lindex.
The #superrolemodel campaign featured the Super Role Models Christy Turlington Burns, Liya Kebede and Toni Garrn who besides being high profile models, have also greatly demonstrated their dedication to the world around them, being engaged in the organisations Every Mother Counts, the Liya Kebede Foundation and Plan International-Because I am a Girl. As part of the campaign Lindex is supporting their charities by donating all profit made from a limited edition #superrolemodel t-shirt.
Furthermore, Lindex supported WaterAid through “round-up” activities within their stores. During several shopping events, Lindex donated 10% from all sales, and to boot, customers were urged to nominate their own #superrolemodels on Instagram, with a 1€ contribution for each nomination.
Responsible water management is of high importance for Lindex. Supporting WaterAid’s pledge, to ensuring water sanitation is improved in the world’s most deprived communities, is a natural extension of Lindex social commitment.
WaterAid Facts
WaterAid is an international independent organisation that works to transform lives by improving access to safe water in the world’s poorest countries. Since 2014, Lindex has partnered up with WaterAid, which works in 26 territories worldwide. This is part of their long-term sustainability commitment, largely due to textile production consuming large quantities of water, which is a precondition of the business, but most importantly because access to clean water is essential to human life.
