The collection

The collection

In March 2017 we launched Re:Design; a collection of exclusive upcycled products made from denim garments from our previous seasons. The collection consisted of 6 pieces within women’s wear that was redesigned and remade in Borås, Sweden. The denim garments were given new details or taken apart and put back together, creating a whole new product.

The pieces

  • The kimono and the bag were made of material from 6 different pair of jeans that had been taken apart and put back together. The hanger loop consisted of the belt loop from the original jeans. In the bag, the inside pocket is the back pocket that was removed from one of the other pieces. Available in One size.
  • On two of the jeans, we added printed details and removed one of the back pockets for a whole new look. We also cropped the jeans and given it a raw hem. Available in sizes 34-42.
  • On one of the jeans we cropped the leg, gave it a raw hem and added a print with a splash look. Available in sizes 38-42.
  • On one of the jeans we cropped the leg and turned the excessive fabric inside out. Available in sizes 38-42.

The denim garments that was redesigned and remade originated from our Better Denim assortment from previous seasons. These are made from more sustainable material and is produced using up to 45 percent less water, 27 less energy as well as less and better chemicals. The Re:Design pieces went through our regular processes to ensure they live up to our requirements for product safety and chemicals.

The Re:Design collection was a limited edition and available at lindex.com and in two Swedish stores; Nordstan Gothenburg and Sergelgatan Stockholm.
