Lindex increases sales and maintains its strong result

Lindex is performing well, as indicated by its interim result and sales from the third quarter. The fashion company maintains its strong performance, demonstrating improved result and increased sales in all markets.

Lindex's operating result for the third quarter of 2019 increased by 12.5 MSEK and amounted to 123.2 MSEK (SEK 110.7 million). This represents significant sales growth, with the strong improvement in result being partly due to reduced price reductions.

"We have had a positive transition to the autumn season with an inspiring and well-balanced assortment that has been appreciated by our customers. We have increased our average purchase and are selling fewer products at reduced prices. We continue to perform well with increased sales growth in all Lindex's markets, both in our physical stores and online", says CEO Susanne Ehnbåge.

Lindex increased its total sales in SEK in the third quarter by 3.0 percent and by 2.6 percent in local currencies. The strong sales development online continued with an increase of 24.4 percent for the quarter.

The fashion company is opening new stores in new markets and is forging ahead with its digital expansion, both through its own e-commerce and in collaboration with partners. Lindex faces an exciting time with major plans for the future growth, which include launching the company on one of the world's largest markets.

"We have huge ambitions for future growth, and will focus both on growing our current business and embracing new opportunities. For instance, China is a very exciting market where we see enormous potential and plan to introduce Lindex online", says Susanne Ehnbåge.
