Since 2014, Ingvar Larsson is the CEO of Lindex. He has previously held several senior positions in both the parent company and Lindex Sweden but also within H&M, both in Sweden and internationally.
Congratulations Ingvar, how does it feel to be the Manager of the Year?
– Thanks, it feels great! First and foremost, it is very pleasing to have been nominated and then to go ahead and win this award is fantastic. I feel a great commitment and passion for my work and I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing people and leaders who have given me a lot of inspiration and knowledge over the years.
How would you describe yourself as a leader?
– I’m optimistic, interested and curious in many areas which I think reflects me as a leader. I have great confidence and expectation on my team and think it is important to work together as a team with clear values as the basis of our work and our decisions. Being responsive and to see what motivates and develops employees have always been important to me, and also to be a present and visible leader.
Lindex reached the great results in 2015, how has your leadership contributed?
– I’m clear with Lindex vision and our goals and I want every employee to understand their role and responsibilities. We have taken a number of important actions during the year, we achieved the best ever sales for both the fourth quarter and the month of December. We can always find things we can improve and develop, and my role is to ensure that we are making progress and that everyone is involved.
The Managers award is Sweden’s most important leadership event and was organized this year for the 14th consecutive year by the magazine ‘Manager. The event highlights and celebrates managers that in different ways have excelled in their leadership.
