Lindex thank customers for a million collection for cancer research

Together with their customers in all operating countries, Lindex has collected 12,5 million sek (1,3 million EUR)  in October. Only in Sweden 7.2 million sek will be donated to the Swedish Cancer Society.

I am very proud of the tremendous commitment Lindex customers and employees have shown for the fight against breast cancer during the Pink month. Many of our employees and customers are women and because it’s a disease that primarily affects women, it is a particularly important issue for us. I’m pleased that we, together with our customers and other companies, can make a difference in this important area, says Ingvar Larsson, CEO at Lindex.

Lindex has through a range of activities boosted the fight against breast cancer. The fashion company has donated 10% of all sales during a Saturday in October, and 10% of all sales of sport bras throughout October. Sales of scented candles, lip gloss and the annual Pink Ribbon, also contributed greatly to this year’s donation.

The fight against breast cancer is an important issue in Lindex’s social commitment and the fashion company is a proud main partner of the Pink Ribbon campaign since 2003. The commitment has over the years contributed to the funding of cancer research and awareness about the disease. So far, Lindex and its customers has contributed with over 96 million sek in the fight against breast cancer.

“We are grateful for the commitment that Lindex customers and employees have shown during the Pink Ribbon campaign. The money collected is an important contribution in the fight against cancer and will go to the best cancer research in Sweden. Research that saves lives, says the Cancer Society’s General Secretary Stefan Bergh.
