INSPIRATION
Romantic nostalgia overtakes us as we look back at the American pioneer style, the prairie and real country living. The feeling of sun bleached, slightly worn and raw material selection is broken with romantic details such as lace, tucks, draw cords and creases.
Flower power and various kinds of beautiful and colourful flower
pattern make up most of the inspiration for another part of this spring’s collections, where we also see other traces of the 70’s, folklore and the hippie style.
As a contrast to all the romantic collections, one style stands out where most of its inspiration has been gathered from typical masculine garments, such as crisp men’s shirts, and classic garments such as the club blazer and trench coat. A “back to basics” feel, but always with an updated twist.
THE COLOURS OF SPRING
Beige – from light sand to camel and khaki
Blue – from ultramarine to light blue, as well as various nuances
of denim blue from light to dark
Red – from clear red to coral and powdery tones of pink
Grey and black in the base
White – from cream, winter white to chalk-white – especially
further on toward summer, white is one of the elements carrying
the colour scheme.
PATTERNS
Stripes, both wide and narrow, different kinds of checks and flowers dominate the patterns.
MODELS & SILHOUETTES
Trousers – narrow trousers live on, however during the upcoming
spring they will be paid a visit by some classic chinos with our without a front pleat, as well as wider trouser models with a 70’s inspiration. The jeans are either narrow, with somewhat more width in the boyfriend fit, or really wide at the bottom.
Among the shirts, either the romantic styles with such accessories
as lace embroidery and small ruffles, or the strict style with its clear inspiration from classic men’s shirts stand out both in choice of material and silhouettes. The dress holds its position as a favourite garment this spring as well; the best liked is the full-length dress, preferably flowery.
