Anna-Karin Dahlberg – Corporate Sustainability Manager

How did you start at Lindex and how have you grown within the company so far?
I started working at Lindex as a Purchase Assistant in 2002. Since then I have been working both as an Assortment Manager for women´s wear and as Production Office Manager in China, India and Hong Kong. After returning to Sweden and coming back from maternity leave I became responsible for sustainability in production. In September 2017 I took on the role as Corporate Sustainability Manager.

What are the most inspiring areas of responsibility or tasks you have in your role?
Lindex is very dedicated to sustainability and it is integrated in the whole business. It is inspiring to work with sustainability, to be able to contribute to the development yourself as well as taking part of others results to implement it into Lindex production and products. It is also very exciting to connect Lindex work to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and feel that we are contributing to the bigger picture.

What are the biggest challenges?
Sustainability is very important but also complex. There are many different challenges and it is important that Lindex and everyone within the textile industry work on addressing the challenges. Taking responsibility for the environment and people effected by our business is a top priority for Lindex and we always strive to become even better, within all areas.

What do you like about working at Lindex?
The best aspect with Lindex is that all competent coworkers share Lindex values and work together to offer our customers the best shopping experience. All company values are equally important and I believe in them all, but my personal favorites are Make it simple, Act sustainable and Seek constant improvement. I really think that Lindex has a fantastic company culture and great possibilities for personal development.
