Martin Pettersson – Project Lead on Mobile Services

Tell us about your role at Lindex!
I started to work here in 2014 and my main focus is to “keep the flow” regarding development of mobile services. Among other things I convert initiatives into specific tasks for my team, I set up requirements and specify tests with test leaders. I also analyse app data, follow up how the apps are used and take action if there are any changes that have to be done.

What projects are you currently involved in?
There are many exciting projects going on right now! We are for example developing our apps for employees in our stores, we are working on a new music system and digital signage in our stores, which can be managed from our head office. Another project is of course our Lindex customer app, which was released last summer.

What are the best things about working at Lindex?
We are used to be working in a changing environment and act accordingly.  We are now focusing on digitalisation and things are happening with high speed. To be a part of a dynamic company, where the development is part of a unity, is something I really appreciate. We are developing our agile ways of working, which is needed to be able to handle the fast changing environment. The employees have the possibility to impact their work and we also have a flexible schedule, which makes it easier to keep a balance between work and your private life. I would also like to add that we have a lot of fun together! We share our knowledge and help each other.

What do you think is important when it comes to characteristics of new colleagues?
We have a large IT department and I would say that we need all kind of personalities! We are all different, but what we all have in common is that we like working in teams and be part of a changing dynamic company. It is also important that you can push yourself forward and make decisions. We are a non-hierarchic company and decisions are made every day at different levels at Lindex.

We have discovered that a snap-on bracelet with a cat head is incorrectly constructed and does not meet Lindex’s safety requirements. The metal component inside the bracelet is not properly protected which means that its sharp edges may pose a risk of injury.
