The Look – Lindex Autumn 2013

Easy Jersey
At the start of the season, when the summer heat lingers, but autumn is drawing nearer, different types of jersey qualities are perfect to start building your autumn look. Layer on layer is key to this trend. Draped dresses, both long and short skirts with the twist and drape cut and tops with same exciting cut are your key elements and combined with short faded denim shorts and the utility shirt instead of a jacket.

Forever Jeans
Few items are and will forever be a wardrobe staple – the beloved jeans are definitely one of these items. The denim silhouette for this autumn looks beyond the second skin or skinny look which has been so dominating for the last seasons. Instead we welcome back the authentic and classic jeans model. The new model will be your essential item for the realistic, feminine look that combines the cool pared-down Parisian way of dressing and Los Angeles laid-back style. The autumn key item, the jeans, are styled with denim shirts, sweatshirts, jackets made of qualities with a tweed-like feel, lace tops and blouses and knitted sweaters.

The Great Knits
The knits are always in style for the autumn/winter season and this autumn more so than ever. Cable knits, double-knit and ribbed, jacquards, twisted or mixed yarns – this autumn you’ll see them all. The same goes for the models, long, short, longer in the back than front, tight or loose and lots of details such as polo necks, round or v-necks. Coatigans – the new item for the season, is a mix between a coat and cardigan. The knitted accessories, such as scarves and hats match the seasonal knitted items perfectly.

Holly & Whyte
The Holly & Whyte design team has returned to England and particularly the English countryside for the autumn inspiration. The outcome is a rich colour palette with plenty of green, navy, red, orange and pink, camel beige and offwhite. Velvet, tweed and various types of wool are the key materials. The adorable animal in intarsia and the jacquard and argyle patterns on knits are a few of the new things this season. Striped and cable knit sweaters are, as always, essential items in the Holly & Whyte collection.

Black Pant Collection
A forever classic and one of the key pieces in any woman’s wardrobe is a pair of black pants. This autumn Lindex launches The Black Pant Collection – all the styles and models you need to complete your look. There is a favorite for everyone: Skinny, Five-pocket, Classic, Tapered – wide top and narrow bottom, Wide legged and Slacks.

“Choose your favorite style and match it with the short jacket, which is must this autumn. This will give you a great look that will last the entire season,” says Nina Stark, Head of Design at Lindex.
