Narciso Rodriguez to design Pink Collection for Lindex

Beautiful, tailored, feminine dresses have made New York-based designer Narciso Rodriguez famous. He has collected prestigious design awards and is extremely popular among a number of female celebrities.

– We chose women’s wear designer, Narciso Rodriguez for the Pink Collection because we believe his beautiful tailoring and feminine silhouettes will be coveted by our customers. This is the first time that Lindex has collaborated with an international designer and Pink Collection with Narciso Rodriguez will also mark the starting point for greater involvement by Lindex in the campaign against breast cancer.

Rodriguez, a three-time Council of Fashion Designer of America winner, is a celebrity fashion favourite who regularly dresses the likes of America’s First Lady Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Alba and Claire Danes.

Fact file – Narciso Rodriguez:

• Born in New Jersey of Cuban-American parents, Narciso Rodriguez received his formal education at the prestigious Parson’s School of Design in New York.
• Rodriguez joined Anne Klein as designer under Donna Karan in 1985. In 1991, Narciso moved to Calvin Klein where he was a designer for the Women’s Collection.
• Later, as design Director at Cerruti, Narciso received international acclaim when he designed the bias-cut sheat wedding dress that his friend Carolyn Bessette wore when she marries John Kennedy, Jr.
• In 2002 and 2003, Rodriguez became the first designer in history to receive consecutive Women’s wear Designer of the Year awards by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
