How did you start at Lindex and how have you grown within the Company so far?
-I started in the position that I currently have. Naturally, there was quite a bit of learning for me initially to understand Lindex business and the challenges from an IT perspective. The first area that I really was involved with was product information but I have since then expanded to cover most areas of Lindex with its associated processes and supporting IT-systems.
What are the most inspiring responsibilities or tasks you have in your current role?
-I have been involved in the most changes within Lindex IT system landscape and it is certainly very rewarding. Fundamentally it comes down to that we need to secure the functionality required by the various departments while at the same time make sure the solutions are sustainable during the coming years. Sustainability comes in many flavors at Lindex.
What are the biggest challenges?
-The biggest challenge is to keep up with or ahead of our customers’ expectations when we meet them in person in store or in any of our digital touch points. We constantly need to improve or reinvent of how we work while securing that Lindex gain the benefits that digitalization can bring to our customers and our employees.
-The advances in technology, applications and systems development is of course happening in parallel. We need to make sure that Lindex is as well positioned as possible by adopting new practices or incorporating technology.
What is the best thing working at Lindex?
-It is change, which is constantly happening at Lindex. Sales, seasons, internal priorities and customer demands change in all business but I sometimes believe fashion retail creates a perfect storm of change because of its spread dynamics. I feel I’m constantly challenged to be creative, to adapt and make sure our long term goals are still incorporated in changed plans.
